Admitted to the Paris Bar and partner at INFLUXIO, Maître Maria BERRADA has recognized dual expertise in intellectual property law and new technologies, both through her training and her practice.
In intellectual property, she assists companies, creators and innovative businesses in protecting, valuing, exploiting and defending their intangible assets. Her practice covers trademark law, designs and models, copyright, software, domain names and other distinctive signs.
She also handles clearance searches, filings and portfolio strategies, opposition, invalidity and revocation proceedings, as well as litigation involving infringement, unfair competition and free-riding, in France and internationally.
In digital law and new technologies, Maître BERRADA advises technology companies, software publishers, platforms, startups and large groups on the audit, drafting and negotiation of IT and technology contracts, including software development and integration, SaaS, licences, maintenance, hosting and cloud, digital services and deliverables, as well as on personal data and cybersecurity matters.
As external DPO for the clients she assists, she advises them on compliance, governance and data value issues.
She also has particular expertise in the legal issues raised by artificial intelligence and advises providers, deployers and users of AI systems on compliance with the European Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act), data governance, intellectual property, contracting, liability and deepfake litigation.
Maître BERRADA also practises in the video game, gaming and esports sectors. A member of the Board of Directors of the French Video Game Federation, she assists development studios, publishers, professional players and esports organizations.
She also advises on gambling and betting regulation.
Before joining INFLUXIO as a partner, Maître BERRADA practised in Anglo-Saxon firms and in a specialized firm, where she was Head of the Intellectual Property & Innovative Industries department.
